50 b-day pop up card

My uncle turned 50 this past week and we celebrated with him at his party last night!

I used Mickey and Friends cart and Mickey Font for the images on this card. I cut Mickey out at 4" with all his accessories. I welded the letters together on DS. I embossed white card stock with cuttelbugs Happy Birthday embossing folder.

Up close of Mickey
I used Mickey because I thought it would bring him back to his childhood years.

I popped up the #50 cut with Mikey Font at 5". Oh My is cut at 4" and Mickey's head is cut at 3". Added some doodling with a black marker.

This was my first time at a pop up card and it turned out great and it was much easier than I thought.

Football tags

My life has been over ran by football season. I had snack duty for this weeks game. I started on the tags a couple of weeks ago because I was making 34 of them. I'm such a procrastinator that I knew if I didn't start early I would be pulling my hair out trying to finish them. lol
So sure enough I finished stuffin and tying all the bags on Friday evening for Saturday's game.
I cut the tags at 4" with tags, bags and more cart.Used the shadow feature for the green. The text on the tags were computer generated with green font and printed on white card stock and cut with tag feature at 4". I cut the Football helmet and the flag with sports mania cart, I believe at 2 1/2". The P was cut with base camp at 1".

All 34 finished treat bags! Phew!

Close up of finished bags

I filled the bags with rice crispy treats, m&m's, and an apple and added a hand full of shredded scrap paper for a filler. I'm glad I did these special little tags my son's team had there first lose at yesterdays game against the Cowboys 12-0. So these treats gave them something to smile about after there hard played game.

B-day card for my little Bro

I made this card for my brother, his birthday is on Monday.

Close up of front:

I googled the farmer image and downloaded it from the web. Colored with regular map pencils used my center point function on my cricut to cut the squared image using my mini mongram cart and shadowed it with the black square. Happy Birthday was cut using the Tear Drop cart. Distressed and inked the edges and added a rope border punch at the bottom.

Inside of the card:

Sentiment is computer generated using scrapbook plus program. I used the rope border punch on the bottom distressed the edges and inked with black and a little doodling around the frame. OMgosh sometimes I'm such a blonde. lol I just realized I use the wrong hey should have been Hay!

Eagle v's Dragons

Good game yesterday between Tiny Mites Eagles v's Southwest Dragons. Game tied
24-24.

Quote from Tiny Mites head coach weplay.com
Mike Finkel commented on the Pleasanton Jr. Eagles’ profile:

“Saturday 9/12/09: Rain at the Eagles' Nest for most of the games against the Dragons (and Vikings PW). The Tiny Mites and PeeWees won by default, even though the scores were tied. The Jr.PW's came up a little short. Mitey Mites got their first win!”

Tiny Mites won by default because the tiny mite Dragon team did not have enough players too play but we like a good game so the Dragon's took some of thier older players from their Pee Wee's and the game was on. I think our little mites did a great job considering half their team were older players!

CTMH card

Okay so finally I get to some girly stuff tonight.
I got this card kit in the mail a few weeks ago from my CTMH rep Ms. Jen, and decided to put it together I inked around the edges with cocoa ink cut out the leaves and flowers and pop dotted it, added a sentiment with chocolate ink. Added some bling with a green rhinestone in center of button and of course added some scrap ribbon I had laying around just to add something differen't from the original creation Jen had.
Thanks Jen for the gift!

Go Eagles!

That's Derek!

Eagles won there first home game today(on there brand new field).
Derek also caught his first pass of the game!
