Teacher Gift

Card for Derek's teacher.
Images all cut out by hand used the DCWV school paper pack.

Inside of card which I had my son sign a sentiment later on a cut to fit spiral notebook paper.
Read: Thank You
Mrs. Kinnard
Love,
Derek

A4 sized note cards are made with the DCWV cardstock. All die cut images are made on my cricut with the Hello Kitty Greetings cart. Ribbons are from stash and i used the threading water punch on some of the cards. The inside was left blank to be filled out by the reciepent.

I made two of each style shown below.
Finished the 8 note cards
Tied with ribbon bundled up with envelopes.

Pencil Hall Pass made with My Community cart which is the newest edition to my collection of cricut carts. I got this cart and Printing 101 free with a provo craft promotion how awesome is that? I used Mickey and Friends Font for the black lettering. After it was cut and layers were glued together I laminated it with My Storybook laminator.

Altered 2 liter bottle I scraplifted this idea from the Cricut MB though it was such a cute and different gift idea. Besides what better way to recycle. I got the image off the net printed then colored with pencils. Flowers are made on my cricut cut is from the Walk In My Garden cart. Brads, ribbon and paper are from my stash. I made a hidden door on the backside of the bottle to slip all the goodies in. Filled with 4 sharpie highlighters, 4 mechanical pencils, post it notes, butterfingers, snickers and m&m's, and the 8 note cards seen above along with the hall pass. Oh and of course a $25.00 dollar gift card. Of course had to shread some purple paper to stuff and hide all the goodies. She loved it!

Who wants a cupcake?

This cupcake card was for Derek today was his pretend birthday at school. His Birthday is in July and the poor kid feels like he's being jaded at school since he can't celebrate with alot of his classmates this summer. So this morning I got up and made 30 cupcakes, iced down juice boxes, made this card, wrapped a gift for Derek and finished his teachers gift. Had a meeting with the councelor and speech therapist at 10:00a.m. and spent all day with a bunch of first graders.
Whoo what a DAY!
This cute cupcake card is from Joann Sheen's Messy Rabbit CD collection.
Sooo simple to print it out on heavy cardstock cut around the cherry top, cut and fold, and of course some stickles to dress it up! Forgot to take a picture of the real cupcakes and the sentiment inside the card, sorry was in a bit of a hurry to get it all done.
The inside sentiment read: "Mommy is very proud of her little cupcake!"

My Son got an AWARD!!!

My son recieved a special award Tuesday evening at the Annual Awards Ceremonies hosted by his School. As some of you may have rememberd a few months back he recieved an award at school during the Monthly Knighting Ceremony. Every month since school started preK, kindergarten and First grade teachers picked a child in their classroom each month based on Academics, Character and Citizenship. In Derek's class there are 20 students so only 9 students throughout the school year were nominated. At this annual ceremony 5 out of the 9 students were recongized for this special award. And of course my child was one of them! What an Honor! I'm so proud of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you may also notice he had to wear his tenny shoes. I found out that evening his boots are now too small. Which he just wore a couple of months ago, little guy has decided to take a growth spurt on me. lol Guess will be boot shopping next!
