Candy Cane Mouse

I made about 35 of these cute little Candy Cane Mice for my son's classroom and teachers. I got this cute cut file from the gracious Cindy McVey. Please drop by her blog she has some wonderful projects and she is so kind to share her cut files for free!

Attached to the back is the first verse, from Twas the Night before Christmas, which was computer generated.

Thank you Cindy, you made my holiday stress a little easier.

Christmas tags

I made these assortment of tags using the Winter Woodland cart.
All cut at 2 1/2".

The snowflake card below is found on pg. 34 on WW.

The tree tags are found on pg. 37 of WW.

The dark green and red tag was embossed with the snowflake cuttelbug folder

The above green and red card is not embossed, the green paper is white core paper from a X-mas DCWV pack.

Pretty in pink and red is embossed with D'vine swirls cuttelbug folder.

School Christmas Tree project

My son's class had a Christmas Tree Parade. The rules for this project were as followed:
Do not buy a real tree
The tree must stand up
The tree must be made at home
It can be made of anything
The whole family can help
Be creative
It must be small enough for the student to carry it.

Here's our tree!
It started with a styrofoam 5 5/8 x 23 7/8 cone, (Not sure what I was thinking when I bought such a big cone, just knew my son's a big kid he can handle that, nevermind we still had to decorate it! wooh!) We wrapped the cone with green paper so it would make it easier to adhere all the holly leaves that are from winter woodland cart cut at 2 1/2". I used 4 sheets of medium green cardstock paper, 2 bright sheets of green cardstock and 2 dark green sheets of cardstock. Embossed all three of the colored leaves with three different cuttelbug folders, swiss dots on the dark green paper, D'vine swirls on the med green, and birds and swirls on the bright green and inked all with SU chocolate ink pad.

The star was cut twice with Plantin Schoolbook at 5" on silver metallic paper. I used a popsicle stick to adhere the two stars front and back and used silver stickles around the edges. The cardinal is from winter woodland was cut at 3" in red and shadowed in black, added a clear rhinstone for the eye and red stickles to his tail and head, and gold stickles for his legs. I made about three cardinals to circle the tree.I used blue, red and yellow rhinestone buttons to adorn the tree! Gotta love the image of Santa and his sleigh on the Christmas Noel cart.
You can't tell in this picture, but I added a little magical sparkle with some stickles. And oh how I love that little bear from the Christmas Noel cart so I added him of course at 3" surrounded by some christmas morning presents.
Like our real tree at home my son has to have a train around the X-mas tree!
The bottom has a chipboard circle bottom cut with plantin schoolbook I believe at 10" or maybe it was 12" lined with red printed christmas cardstock and used some left over holly leaves to finish it off like a tree skirt! I got a little overmyhead with this project as I had so many other things to do for the holidays but I think it turned out wonderful and my son showed it off proudly at his Christmas Tree Parade this past Tuesday.

Fall card

I designed these simple fall cards on my gypsy using all WC.
The leaves were cut out of DCWV glitter stock paper which were very pretty and shiny only you can't see it in the picture.

I made a total of 8 cards. To give to my son's teacher and to the doctors I work for and co-workers.

I didn't get a pic of the inside as I did them last minute.
(Everything is last minute for me nowadays)
The inside sentiment said Happy Thanksgiving!

Get Better card

I made this card for my grandfather he had hip surgery this past Thursday!
It is a very simple design that I created on the Gypsy. Wild card was the only cart used, the paper was just extra I've had from my stash, I used antique linen stickles around the leaves and on the sentiment get better!

Happy Belated Halloween

THE GATEKEEPER

Halloween treat boxes

I made 21 of these little treat boxes for my son's class.

Using my gypsy of course I designed a page for the black boxes using TBM cart. Also used TBM for the purple tags. Happy Halloween font is from WC. The pumpkins are from GW. Very simple and easy to make of course with my Gypsy, came in super handy in desgining and arranging to fit and feel the page. The little boxes are filled with mini m&m's snickers twix and 3 muskeeters.

My little storybook character

Can you guess what storybook character my son is?

Since most schools don't allow children to dress up for Halloween. They did get to wear and participate in activites for drug free week at there school. Friday the kids could come dressed as a storybook character of there choice. So what do you think does he look like Paul Bunyan?

Close up of cowboy.

Inside of card, added the money holder.

Mainly used PDDU, frame was CO, happy birthday was from zooballoo, other fonts were BC.
Embossed with cuttelbug happy b-day and paisley folders.

My Gypsy girl

Here is my Gypsy all dressed up and ready to go wherever I go!
Tucked in nice in snug in her sleeve to help protect her.

Dressed in her finest sleeve, pink bling!

I made a little something special for her stylet. A string of pink swarvorski crystals with a silver cross charm.
